Imaginary Road Studios

Will Ackerman (founder of Windham Hill Records and the producer of George Winston and Michael Hedges among many others) built Imaginary Road Studios near his home in Windham County, Vermont. It was designed to offer a constant visual connection to the outside. The views of the West River Valley have proven inspirational to all who have recorded there. The studio's equipment is utterly state-of-the-art and is constantly being updated. Our Klaus Heine-modified Neumann mics and Hemmingway preamps cannot be bettered by any studio on the planet. Engineering and mixing are available with our resident engineer Tom Eaton.

" Imaginary Road studio is even more special than the name implies. Expert professionals, all nice folks, gather there to conspire in the gentle business of creating good, meaningful music - all in an incomparable setting in the New England mountains. No wonder everyone loves working there - for me it's one of my all time favorites. "

Tony Levin (John Lennon, Peter Gabriel, Paul Simon, James Taylor, King Crimson, Pink Floyd)
